The brief
Brief
Hertford had no single, modern place to discover local events, or for organisers to list them. What's On Hertford fills that gap for residents, visitors and local businesses.
How
Approach
- Next.js + Sanity platform with two sides: discovery for readers and listing for organisers
- Supabase accounts for both audiences. Readers who follow, organisers who post
- Events seeded by the team and submitted directly by registered businesses and organisers
- AI/SDK powering internal Sanity tooling, with reader-facing AI features on the roadmap
Result
Outcome
Live since summer 2025 and growing steadily on zero outside funding: 5,800 users and 14,000 page views so far in 2026 (1,000+ a month), with around 500 events listed with about 40% submitted directly by the public and local organisers.
